No military enthusiast should miss these superb highlights of Britain’s three-day ‘War and Peace Show’ at Beltring in Kent. The ‘99 show featured the world’s largest gathering of private military vehicles and drew ‘living history’ groups from all over Europe. Nearly 3000 military vehicles were on display and in action - from bicycles, jeeps and armoured cars to the ‘heavy metal’ of trucks, tanks and big guns, while ‘Living history’ re-enactments included a truly thunderous tribute to Steven Spielberg’s epic film ‘Saving Private Ryan’. Our cameras were there to capture it all and here you can see the very best of what was truly memorable military extravaganza.
