An informative documentary focusing on three American Grand Prix drivers - Dan Gurney, Richie Ginther and Masten Gregory, who shot to fame in the post-war Sixties. Perhaps the greatest American driver ever, Gurney never won a World Championship, nor ever came close. Yet, he was the one driver most truly feared by the legendary Jim Clark. Meanwhile, Ginther was the perfect second driver, and although he had great days in his Grand Prix career, he was never on par with either Clark or Gurney. Despite a lacklustre career in Grand Prix, Gregory found successes in the Le Mans 24 Hours race in the late sixties behind the wheel of Ford GT40s, Ferrari P3s and Porsche 910s. Fascinating insights into these US GP drivers, who came to prominence in a fast moving and dangerous motorsport.
