The first volume in a four part series documenting the unique history of British Racing Motors, produced and directed by acclaimed motoring historian Neville Hay. The programmes include the original BRM/ Owen Organisation archive, plus additional material and interviews. Volume One concentrates on the earliest Mark 1 and Mark 2 V-16 supercharged models which promised much but suffered mixed fortunes. The BRMs 1950 debut appearance at Silverstone flopped when the car was left on the start line. In 1951 Reg Parnell and Peter Walker fared better at the British GP, finishing 5th and 7th.
