GOODWOOD CIRCUIT REVIVAL (75mins) Memories of the glory days of Goodwood, recreated in the spirit of the very first meeting 50 years ago. A dream grid of more than 300 cars and motorcycles raced on a track last used in 1966. Damon Hill raced his father’s 1963 TT-winning Ferrari 250GTO and went back to his motorcycle racing roots as he and Barry Sheene circulated on a pair of Manx Nortons. John Surtees and Stirling Moss had the crowds on their feet with their re-enactment of the TT Trophy and aviation history with historical aircraft such as the Merlin V12s, Spitfires and a Hurricane in action added to the atmosphere. The restoration of the circuit was a triumph of determination over adversity and producers Meridian have spared no detail to bring you what racing enthusiasts are calling ‘the event of the year.’
